Edgerton Hospital was founded in 1923 by a local registered nurse, Edith Lockwood, who saw the pressing need for dedicated care, and began operating out of a two-story residential home. In the century since, it has expanded quite significantly, becoming renowned in the state for its rehabilitation program, specifically.
In 2011, Edgerton Hospital built a new facility, keeping energy efficiency as a central part of the design, complete with eco-friendly heating methods.
